Description

Includes both indoor and outdoor venues which offer live and recorded performances, production and events with or without a fee to the public. This specifically does not include commercial for-profit movie theatres. Performing Arts Venues are licensed to secure sponsorship funding and generate revenue from multiple commercial streams (e.g., admissions, membership fees, retail, facilities rental, non-formal learning programs, publications and other). Performing Arts Venues may also apply for a separate food and beverage license. Performing Arts Venues may be managed directly or with the assistance of external consultants. Also includes promotion of own services and events (e.g., advertising, public relations, publications and via other media) through a licensed media provider.
